Doris O'Connor introduced me to shifters, and I am so grateful to her for that! I really love an escape from reality, and what better way to escape than entering a world where beautiful men can become beautiful big cats? Sigh...
Not only do I like the shifter aspect of "Riding Her Tiger", I like the whole premise. Estelle wants to explore her submissive side because she loves a dominant man. Simple, right? Well...not so much. I don't want to give anything away, but let's just say that Estelle embarks on a journey that has a lot of twists and turns that test her limits and help her discover herself. It's hot and sexy, but it's also romantic and sweet.
This is a BDSM story, so you should know that there are all sorts of delightful toys and implements being used. If you love that, like I do, this is the book for you. Trust me. Doris knows exactly what she's doing ;-)
Estelle finds out what happens when you tell your best friend what you desire. She finds out the hard way. In her case when she finds out her friend has signed her up for a website where you can meet and learn about submission from an experienced Dom.
She’s longed for her boss since she first met him, but she knows that his needs aren’t tame. She decides to take a chance. Meet up with the notorious Ink, who she met online, and learn everything she can so that she can finally have the strength and courage to confront her boss with her desires.

But after a night of passion she wakes alone and when she goes to confront Ink she finds out there was a terrible case of mistaken identity. Will what she experienced and with who ruin her chances of happiness. Will she ever get the man she desires?
When I write my review I want to tell you enough about a book that you will get a eel for if you will love it or not want to bother without giving away the book and spoiling it for you, The shorter the book the harder this can be. This is fair warning as to why this review may be shorter than average.
Yes I am on of those people who don't want to know whats in the Christmas present, I love the surprise.
On to my review, Estelle has wanted her boss for ever but Nathan is into the BDSM lifestyle pretty heavy and that is something that Estelle has never gotten into. However she is willing to try so that she can get her bosses attention now that he is single.
Estelle decides the best way is to have some instruction and introduction to the lifestyle before she approaches Nathan so she doesn't look like a fool. She is to meet up with Ink and have that instruction.
All of this could be just another BDSM romance but this one has a twist, the characters are shifters, now that could make things feel unnatural (hehe unnatural paranormal romance) but Ms. O'Connor has made this all mesh together into a well written story that is as hot as Malibu during wildfire season.
I would have loved to have seen a longer story out of these characters, however there is a second book in the series. So sit back, take some me time, fill up a bubble bath or hide in the back yard for a little bit and enjoy the hot sexy tiger shifters, the BDSM and the menage scene that will have you reaching for a cold drink.
What a pleasant surprise to find a series that has shapeshifters AND BDSM wrapped up in the same story! I was happy to find this book and I did enjoy this fast read. My big complaint would be that I wished it were longer, more detailed and had more history for the characters. That being said, I wouldn't want a longer, more in depth story if I didn't like it!
It starts of with Estelle who is "hot to trot" for her boss, Nathan. She has heard that Nathan is in the BDSM lifestyle and she would love to learn more of how to be a good "sub" so that maybe she would have a chance with him. Estelle's friend gives her the push she needs and sets her up with the owner of "Club Ink" and Estelle contacts him though the internet.
This is the gist of how the story gets going and there are many surprises along the way. I really enjoyed this story and the characters that were introduced are ones that I am looking forward to getting to know in future books. I loved "Club Ink" and also that their is some teasing going on with "edge play". I find this book to be quite unique and it is refreshing to come across a series that stands out for its origionality. The sex is sizzling, although I would have liked to have had maybe some more detail and intensity to some of it. It still was hot though, and I would take a sexy tiger shifter for myself anytime! I look forward to book #2 and have found an author that I will be adding to my auto buy list immediately!!
I don't think there's anything bad I could say about this book. Everything that this author writes is so much fun to read and is so incredibly hot!!!!!!! You will not be disappointed!
